Manual Gear + Manual Clutch is not necessarily the most effecient format. Manual purely relies on the persons ability to judge when to slot the gears. Both of these if incorrectly done, can lead to drop in performance as well as mileage.

If automatics were so bad, you wouldnt have had them so popular. I personally prefer manual brakes to ABS, Manual gears to gearless. But thats just me and my preference.

This is a very interesting innovation (though I dont expect it to be a game changer!)
